Practical Help for Your Loved One and Your Family

When someone you love has dementia, everyday care can become a full day’s responsibility. Getting dressed, preparing breakfast, answering repeated questions, and helping with bedtime all take time and attention. You may be providing that support while also working, raising a family, or managing your own health.

LiveBetter at Home shares those daily responsibilities. Our caregivers provide patient, respectful assistance, follow familiar routines, and make time for personal connection. We help your loved one participate in daily life at a comfortable pace, with support that respects their preferences and abilities.

For families, that means someone else is there to help with the practical work of caregiving. You have time to step away, keep an appointment, rest, or spend time with your loved one without handling every task yourself.

Care That Respects the Person Behind the Diagnosis

Your loved one’s habits, interests, and choices shape the care we provide. We build a personalized plan around their daily life and adjust our support as their needs change.

Our caregivers:

  • Follow familiar routines for mornings, meals, activities, and bedtime.
  • Provide personal care with attention to privacy, comfort, and dignity.
  • Use patient reminders and simple prompts to help with everyday tasks.
  • Encourage participation in activities your loved one can still enjoy and do.
  • Offer companionship through conversation, shared interests, and meaningful engagement.
  • Give family caregivers a break by taking over scheduled care responsibilities.

Personalized Support Through Guided Living™

Our Guided Living™ approach keeps care focused on five areas of daily life:

  • Safety & Stability: We support safer daily routines, help keep living spaces orderly, and observe changes that need attention.
  • Function & Independence: We encourage your loved one to participate in everyday activities and provide assistance where it is needed.
  • Emotional & Social: We build connection through companionship and activities that reflect the person’s interests.
  • Family Confidence: We communicate about care and changes we observe so family members stay informed.
  • Cognition & Routine: We use familiar habits, patient reminders, and cueing to support daily activities.

Guided Living™ is LiveBetter’s approach to care. It is separate from the federal CMS GUIDE Model described above.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Services at Home

Help With Familiar Daily Routines

Our caregivers help your loved one move through the day with a familiar sequence of activities. We provide reminders, break everyday tasks into manageable steps, and allow time for the person to respond and participate.

Morning support includes help getting ready, preparing breakfast, and settling into the day’s activities. Evening support helps your loved one prepare for bed and complete personal care routines. We work at their pace instead of rushing from one task to the next.

Personal Care With Privacy and Respect

We assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while protecting your loved one’s privacy. Caregivers explain what they are doing, offer simple choices, and provide the amount of help the person needs.

Familiar preferences remain part of care, including preferred clothing, grooming products, and the usual time for bathing. We encourage your loved one to do the parts of a task they can manage and provide hands-on assistance with the rest.

Companionship and Meaningful Engagement

We spend time with your loved one through activities that reflect their interests and current abilities. That may include listening to favorite music, looking through photographs, reading together, having a conversation, or helping with a familiar household activity.

Our caregivers make room for connection without putting pressure on someone to remember a name, complete an activity, or perform a task a certain way. Enjoyment and participation guide the time we spend together.

Meal Preparation and Household Support

Our caregivers prepare meals, set up the eating area, provide mealtime reminders, and clean up afterward. We follow the food preferences and applicable dietary instructions recorded in the care plan and encourage regular meals and hydration.

We also help with light housekeeping and everyday household routines, such as laundry and keeping frequently used areas orderly. These practical tasks help maintain a comfortable home while easing the workload on family members.

Evening and Overnight Care

Caregiving responsibilities do not always end at bedtime. We provide evening and overnight assistance with routines, personal care, and supervision during scheduled care hours.

For families who need continuous support, LiveBetter at Home offers 24-hour care through caregiver shifts. We do not provide live-in care. The care plan establishes the tasks and coverage needed, and our team confirms staffing availability before services begin.

Support After a Hospital Stay

We help your loved one settle back into daily life after a hospital stay with personal care, meal preparation, companionship, and household assistance. Caregivers follow the routines established in the care plan and communicate observed changes to our team and family contacts.

Our assistance works alongside separately arranged nursing, therapy, and other healthcare services. Our caregivers are not nurses; diagnosis, medical treatment, wound care, and rehabilitation remain with the appropriate healthcare professionals.

An Approved Respite Provider Under the CMS GUIDE Dementia Model

LiveBetter at Home is an approved respite provider under the CMS GUIDE dementia model. We provide in-home respite support so family caregivers can take a break while their loved one receives personal assistance, companionship, and help with familiar routines.

GUIDE stands for Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience. This Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services model supports people living with dementia and their caregivers through participating dementia care programs. Respite gives qualifying caregivers temporary relief from care responsibilities.

Covered GUIDE respite requires enrollment, eligibility, and authorization through the participating GUIDE program and is subject to program limits. Authorized GUIDE services have no patient cost-sharing. This does not mean all ongoing home care is covered by Medicare.
